Hi, the tutorials the person gave above r great, but it would have helped if u told us which distribution u r using. If u r using Ubuntu or OpenSuse then contact me for any help, information, or anything u need to setup or learn and I can explain stuff to u in detail if u like. It will also help to join ur Linux distribution's forums. You may also want to check out these sites below if rather just have the tutorials:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/answers
http://www.linux-tutorial.info/
http://www.linuxplanet.com/linuxplanet/tutorials

Just read u r using Suse Linux, u can join the Suse forums and I have been using Suse and Ubuntu for a long time and I can help u with it if u need any. Suse is an excellent Linux distro, u will really like it.
I hope I helped.
Good Luck and take care!
