How can I get a CD game to work on Ubuntu?
I have Ubuntu version 8.10 and need to know how to install a CD game into Ubuntu, because that would make me stick with Ubuntu and I would like that. IF anyone could post a COMPLETE tutorial, literally step by step, on how to install a CD game, then I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! First answer to works gets the 10 points.

you cant play most of PC games on ubuntu(unless you are 1337 h4xx0r)
to play some windows games you need a software called WINE(search it in AddRemove Programs) itll allow you to “emulate” windows libraries. Just download it , pop in the CD and install the game as you would in windows. you can check if your game is supported by WINE on http://appdb.winehq.org/
